It has been designed to allow an electrical item with a UK plug, to connect with a wall socket in most countries throughout the world. Ideal for plugging in individual electrical items from a standard socket, up to a maximum of 1100 watts (230v countries) or 550 watts (110v countries). That's enough power for travel irons, small travel hair dryers, and battery chargers. If you are travelling to many countries in a single trip, and just require a standard travel plug for a single item, this travel plug may be suitable. Safety Standards The inttp travel plug has been designed to work in the sockets of most countries, and therefore is not to be used in the UK under any circumstances. This travel plug is designed for use up to 5A, however, there is no internal fuse so it is very important to ensure that all appliances have a current rating below this, and have a fuse no greater than 5A in their UK plug. Earth continuity is maintained with the 13A plug and sockets with earth connections, although this is not guaranteed for all sockets. Most modern travel items either have a 110-230v switch which can simply be selected, or use a power supply that can use 110v. However, it is the user's responsibility to ensure electrical compatibility. This travel plug DOES NOT transform voltage - it only allows UK plugs to connect to the sockets in these countries.
