To start with, the sw2uk4 travelplug comes with a fitted Swiss plug (shown opposite). The plug is designed to fit perfectly into standard Swiss sockets. This ensures no fiddling around to get a standard travel plug to fit properly, and also provides the correct earth continuity. Sometimes, standard travel plugs do not allow the earth pin to be connected (a potentially dangerous situation when using earthed appliances like travel irons, etc.) Connected to the Swiss plug is approximately 40cm (16") of flex. This in turn connects to the 4-way UK multiblock. This multiblock is made from high impact resilient rubber for durability. It is designed to withstand harsh working conditions, and its strength makes it ideal for use in a travelplug system such as this. Unlike UK 13A plugs, Swiss plugs have no fuse. Therefore, to ensure the same level of safety as in the UK, the multiblock incorporates a fuse holder fitted with a standard 10A fuse. This fuse adds additional safety for the user, and protects the cable between the plug and the multiblock. Again standard travel plugs rarely incorporate a fuse, but often have a lower current rating than can normally be drawn using a 13A plug (another potentially dangerous situation). Overall, the sw2uk4 travelplug system provides a very safe, unique solution to using multiple items simultaneously up to a maximum of 2300 watts. If you are travelling to Switzerland and find standard travel plugs a bit fiddly or awkward to use, or if you (or your family) need more than one item plugged in at a time, the sw2uk4 travelplug is the travel plug for you.

To start with, the sw2uk4 travelplug comes with a fitted Swiss plug (shown opposite).
